Hey Guys,
I’m really excited to be in Dallas for our last ePub event of the year. Maybe you’re here too? Don’t be shy about saying hello! If you have attended one of these events, then you know how exciting it can be to embark on a new publishing project.
Congratulations to everyone who’s taking the first step to building a digital publishing empire! You probably don’t have a lot of time to peruse your favorite news sources… Heck, at this time of year, few of us have time to catch up on the news during the week. Here are a few of the articles, blog posts, etc. that I have bookmarked to read over the weekend:
The Daily Shutting Down – Everybody and their dog has put in their 2-cents about why The Daily is closing up shop… but few of them pointed out its glaring flaws and predicted its collapse on the day it launched. Marco Arment did. He also invented Instapaper, which I use all the time on my iPad.
The Cycle of Customers Who Care – Are you selling to people who care deeply about your product? If your users seem lukewarm about what you’re selling, keep working; you haven’t found your target market yet. Sorry to burst your bubble… but early adopters really do care.
The 5 Most Persuasive Words in the English Language – It doesn’t matter if you’re working on a new motivational Kindle book, an email, or a sales letter for a new product — you’re in the business of writing copy. You absolutely must get familiar with the tools and tricks of the trade.
This is What You Wanted, Right? A Perfect Meritocracy? – For years, people complained about how hard it was to get access to start-up funding, development, and resources. Now, we ALL have access to incredible freaking resources… The catch is that we’re running out of excuses!

I like these weekend readings. This week's most powerful words in English are neat to know! I did not apply them, yet. But will do that in due time.
In regard to "All words are equal, but some are more equal than others"
The statement actually means: "All words are abstractions, but some words are more abstract than others"
That's why we cannot see the forest for the trees and why gardeners can buy seeds for growing peas and carrots but cannot buy seeds for growing vegetables.
I wanted your program and was not able to access.. Is there a way I can still join it. Pls let me know.
