I hope you had a great week! I’m back in the office, working on all kinds of exciting new projects. I can’t wait to tell you all about them at this year’s Traffic and Conversion Summit in San Francisco. Seriously, it’s going to be a blast!
In the meantime, I’m doing all I can to keep up with the end-of-year rush that always seems to sneak up on me in December. Everyone and their dog is experimenting with ways to boost online revenues, and it makes for some very interesting reading. Here are a few of the articles, blog posts, etc. that I’ve got bookmarked to read over the next few days:
Networking is for Losers – I’ll be the first to admit it; I’m a sucker for controversial titles, and this one’s a doozy. But after skimming over the first paragraphs of Francisco Dao’s article, I have to say I kinda agree with him. I’m not saying you should stop networking and become a hermit, but Dao’s point is definitely worth considering…
Is it Time for Content Marketers to Abandon Facebook? – Sure, there’s been a lot of grumbling about Facebook’s new pay-to-play direction, but is anyone really convinced that it’s more profitable to leave Facebook altogether? Really? Where are you going to go?
Jeff Bezos Wants Amazon in Every Pocket – Really, who doesn’t want their products to be just a touchscreen away from their customers 24/7? What sets Amazon apart is that it’s not just a device company; its customers are already trained to buy products, regularly. Imagine if users loved the Kindle Fire HD as much as the iPad.
Everything Worth Doing Takes Time – Sometimes I feel like my biggest job is to help people start doing SOMETHING. To move beyond the paralysis of analysis and get to work… Because it’s not going to happen overnight. As usual, Chris Brogan is right on.
