If you’ve ever wondered how to monetize social media, the Onion has your answer: Become a middleman and hire an army of robots.

In a hilarious spoof of the hugely popular TEDTalks series, The Onion has revealed the secret conspiracy that all social media gurus have been hiding for all of these years: Social media is the biggest scam going… just kidding social media managers!!

Still, this spoof does echo a sentiment that anyone in the interactive business has been hearing since the dawn of social media: What’s the value of a Like or a Tweet? Isn’t this whole social media advertising thing just a scam to rip off businesses?

As usual, The Onion hits the nail on the head.
